27 October 201 2 : Mandalay - Ava (Lunch/Dinner)
Embark on the RV Mahaythi at your convenience at Shwekyatyat Jetty. At 1000 depart from Mandalay to Inwa (Ava). Visit Nan Myint Tower, Maha Aungmyay Bonzan Monastery and Bagayar Monestery.
28 October 2012: Ava to Yandabo Village (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
After breakfast, cruise all the way down to Yandabo village - small village specialize in pot making and a place where the peace treaty of the First Anglo War was signed in 1826.
29 October 2012: Yandabo - Pakokku - Bagan (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Morning, sail down to Pakokku - the bustling town with old monasteries, cheroot and weaving workshops.
30 October 2012: Bagan (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Morning, arrive back Bagan - the capital on Myanmar First Emperor and a plain with thousands of temples and stupa. Sightseeing Bagan with horse carts.
31 October 2012: Bagan to Sale (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Morning, visit to Mt. Popa - a center of Nats (spirits) by coach. On the way, stop at Kyaukpadaung. After that continue to Sale where we will be visiting a number of teak monasteries including the Yout-saun-kyaung with its spectacular wood carvings. We will also explore an area of splendid colonial-style houses. Join back to the cruise in Sale. Moor near a place in Sale.
01 November 2012: Sale to Magwe (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Morning continue sailing down along Ayeyarwady River (Irrawaddy River) till we reach to Magwe - an important trading port in upper Myanmar. We will visit Myat-thalon Pagoda which is constructed with solid gold bricks. Of interest are the many Nat (spirit) shrines and hermitages within the temple precincts.
02 November 2012: Magwe to Thayetmyo (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Morning, downstream cruise to Gwechaung to witness the more impressive of the forts. Then, to Minhla - where we will be visiting the Italian built forts constructed to repel the British for upper Myanmar invasions. Proceed till we reach to Thayetmyo to moor.
03 November 2012: Thayetmyo to Pyay (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Morning, explore Thayetmyo a pleasant town with many colonial buildings once guarded the border between Royal Burma and British Burma following the 2nd Anglo Burmese War of 1855. Thayetmyo also has the oldest golf course in Burma (1885). Outside the town is an extensive war cemetery where Turkish prisoners of war were laid to rest. Then, continue journey to Pyay - Thiri-ya-kittiya (Sri Ksetra) "City of Splendour" in Sanskrit). The British Irrawaddy Flotilla Company established the current town in the late 1800s on the Ayeyarwady River (Irrawaddy River) as a transshipment point for cargo between Upper and Lower Burma.
04 November 2012: Pyay to Yangon (Breakfast/Lunch)
Disembark and visit the 5th-8th century archaeological site of Thiri-ya-kittiya (Sri Ksetra), former centre of the Pyu civilization with a fascinating museum of early Buddhist artifacts and sculpture before transfer to Yangon.
